The creative mentoring project is an outline I wish I had 5 years ago during my design degree. A series of lessons, tips and information I didn’t know I needed, and would have been power to my confidence, a light when I felt lost and empowering in an industry that still to this day is underpaid- and male dominant.

YOU CREATE YOUR OWN CONFIDENCE.
Your habits will increase your confidence. People do things to make themselves feel confident- its not built within their being. Habits, meditation, exercise. It never plateaus, its a constant battle the goes up and down and you need to be doing things daily that not only inspire and empower you but also provide you with stability and routine.
PERFECTIONISM WILL DRIVE YOU CRAZY
Sometimes you need someone else there next to you to press publish or send on that email. Most creatives I know ‘suffer’ from perfectionism and its enough to drive them (..and me) crazy! Imperfect Action = Huge Success. This is planted on a sticky note right below the screen I’m typing on right now. A daily reminder to take action, we’re working in a time where it can always be edited and nothing online is ever final or perfect!
REALISING YOUR WORTH AND YOUR TALENTS
With the right tools and surrounded by the right resources and people you can achieve everything. Don’t doubt what you can do, you’re as good as you believe you are and you will charge accordingly. Step into your future self and think what would they do? What are they doing right now? What does their week look like? How can you get to where your future self is and live that life sooner than you thought?
ROUTINE IS EVERYTHING
Meditations, Daily Affirmations, Moving your body, Setting Goals and strategies on how to achieve is everything you need to keep yourself on track. Create your own daily and weekly rituals that are non-negotiable, put yourself first and conquer your mind. If you don’t trust yourself, find an accountability coach to hold you to account and make sure you’re meeting your targets ticking things off your list. Its the best way to grow quickly and see those real-time changes taking place in your life. Your life can change quicker than you think when you make a few crucial decisions for yourself.
